About 300 researchers from around the world who work on various aspects of plant reproduction attended last week this international congress discussing the major advances in and to foster collaborations in the field of plant reproduction. The scientific program was fascinating and fundamental steps in plant reproduction were hint: Flowering and Flower Organ Development, Gametogenesis and Meiosis, Pollen-Pistil Interactions and Pollen Tube Growth, Fertilization Mechanisms, Apomixis, Evolution and Ecology, Embryogenesis, Seed and Fruit Development, Epigenetic Mechanisms and Applications in Plant Breeding.
Member of the EVOfruland Project, mainly from Italy, contributed updated scientific results on ovule/seed development in different plant systems included in the project (Ginkgo biloba, Taxus baccata, Arabidopsis thaliana)
